During my recent home visit I discovered that transport facilities have improved much in Kakching in recent years. The roads are better, and there is autorickshaw service which takes you to any part of the town at a cheap fare.
Business is busier than ever in the town--market proper is livelier, and every leikai/leirak is more money conscious. Most families are richer now than they were five years ago. General living condition has improved considetably.
The town is quite comfortable for its dwellers. But I don't know exactly what about the town attracts internal tourists, if there is a sustainable volume of receipts from that. Kakching garden being quite political in its development and maintenance (at least it seems to me so), its fate is quite precarious, after a political regime change in the town. Are there other tourist spots in the town attracting visitors particularly from inside the state quite reliably regularly? If tourism facilities are to be develloped/improved there what are the priorities? As far as I know, Kakching lacks a good place to eat decently and peacefully. When we eat we do not eat just the food--we also eat the environment and what we talk while taking in the food. Kakching should have restaurants. Decent and peaceful. It can be anywhere in the town.

Kakching has been so developed compared to what it was 5 yrs back. There are still so many ways to improve - residential hotels, hilly restaurants, online promotions etc. but these all are to come automatically and slowly. For now, I think the tourists can get the basic needs to roam the tourists places as of now there are no foreign tourists outside Manipur and to bring tourists from outside we need something to do online. I can do that, I am planning.

Does Kakching Garen have a residential hotel? Management must be quite an issue when it's not a regular business, but it would be worthwhile to have one, and with some promotional activities, it may not be impossible. The birth of residential hotels would go hand in hand with a lot of other things.
