Those who follow me have noticed that for 2 weeks, I have not published anything: neither post, nor article, nor comment. The reason is simple: I am coming out of 2 weeks of Coronavirus / Covid-19 . Among the many French people who have had it, I am one of those who will have had symptoms but no particular after-effects. As I write these few lines, it is behind me. First signs of Corona virus: Friday March 6: unusual fatigue and feeling of no longer having any strength. I've only been sleeping 5 hours a night for a few weeks now, so I'm not worried. Symptoms more marked on Saturday 7. Sunday 8: the cough arrives. Very dry cough, non-stop, all day. I can't stay awake for 1 minute without coughing.
Never had such a cough before. Still very tired, a feeling of being muscularly drained. Almost Email Data as if something had sucked all my energy away. Complete loss of appetite. No desire to eat. I feed myself for the principle. Alternation of hot and cold (I never feel cold). Sunday evening: start of cramps. Quite strong. Monday 9: still the same symptoms + fever (ultimately, 12 days around 38). I do not eat anything anymore. Beyond the loss of appetite: I have a severe alteration of taste. Everything is bad. Everything tastes absolutely terrible: water, meat, fruit, vegetables, chocolate... everything is very bad and has a dirty, extremely unpleasant taste. Even though I don't want to eat, it's very uncomfortable. Multiplication of cramps and an even greater intensity than on Sunday. Tuesday 10: first appointment with the doctor.
Results: tracheitis, a viral infection. I don't know if my doctor didn't dare to talk about Corona Virus or refused to see him. We were at the start of the epidemic, it was perhaps not yet very clear. The next day, I called 15. No difficulty reaching them. The diagnosis made this time is Corona Virus, which my doctor will confirm the next day after another appointment. I would not be tested. As long as I don't have any breathing difficulties, no test. Above all, I am invited to stay at home, not to see anyone and I am offered documents to justify a work stoppage. The instruction not to leave my house is very clear. Expected duration of symptoms: 7 to 14 days. The impact of the coronavirus lasts for more than a week. I sleep a minimum of 14 hours a day: 8/9 hours nights and 2 naps of 2.5/3 hours during the day.
