Most members of Kakching Thinks, and most readers and people at home (Kakching/Manipur) who want to become members seem to access the internet on their mobile phones. As far as we know so far, we have two technical problems encountered by mobile phone users. (We are not sure if computer users encounter these problems or not.
1. Registration restarts: At certain phase, especially after filling up the CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) form (which forces you to decipher a relatively illegible group of letters and enter them into a form field to prove that you're not a spam bot), the registration process restarts on its own getting you back to square one—the beginning. You do it again, but at or about the same state the registration process restarts, and you cannot complete the process.Solutions and suggestions:
2. Activation mail does not come: When you have completed the registration process, the forum program sends you an automated activation link mail to your registered email address. However for some reason the activation mail does not reach your Inbox, so you cannot log in to Kakching Thinks.
1. Forum websites load a little bit heavily than normal websites for technical reasons. Besides that Kakching Thinks admins have turned the forum size and resolution up a little bit high. And forum websites are quite too heavy on mobile phones. This leads to disconnection from the server when you are trying to register with the forum from on your phone. Please let us know if you have any problem. You may be a member or not of Kakching Thinks yet, but you can always raise any queries on this open thread here.
To bypass this problem, please download and install our mobile ProBoards applications for Android phones and iPhones and iPads.
2. If you do not see the activation mail in your Inbox, it may most probably be because your email service provider (such as Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) has blocked the automated ProBoards mail and directed it into your spam folder. Please check for the mail in your spam folder, open it (if it’s there) and click on the activation link. This command must activate your account, and now you can sign in to Kakching Thinks.
If the mail is still not in the spam folder, then please click on “Resend activation code” link which appears on the screen when you have finished the registration process. The mail should be either in your Inbox or in the Spam folder.
