General Election
General election will be arriving to wake us up and make us recall that we have the right to select our own leaders by casting votes, which is conferred on us by the Indian constitution. Candidates would be busy convassing for votes. They would try to attract voters by making promises and showing their political party manifestoes. There would be acrimonious verbal exchanges among political parties. Each candidate/party will start intensifying propaganda campaign aiming at public(voters) support. When our constituencies are buzzing with their activities , what shall we do? We need to be shrewd judges of characters for our future. Should we give a chance to some leaders/candidates hoping that they would do better in the term than what they did in the previous term? Should we put an end to them by polling against them to have the rule of new leaders. If they(new leaders) do the same as the former leaders did, we have to smile weakly in the forlorn hope that charismatic, inspiring, undisputed, effective and powerful leaders would govern us. It is impossible that we live happily if our leaders are unfit to govern. But we are better not to get ourselves exasperated because of the fact that we elect them by exchanging our votes for their money power. We are better not to cast votes believing candidates' propaganda. Humans are essentially rational so we should try to be rational about our right to vote. A wave of BJP is sweeping over the country. Many a politician has begun to turn their back to their political parties to ride the wave of BJP leaving us in the state of whirl. Why do they do so? Politics nature? Will BJP government be a solution to Manipur issues? Will Congress government rule Manipur again? Will Congress government be able to rule in the interest of Manipur? After all, we are emotionally more than ready to follow the great leaders' wake.
( He takes bribes given by you, and you both accuse each other of corruption, and talk about the abolition of corruption.)
