Subjects of transitive and intransitive verbs are marked by -bu (usually a dropped objective case marker) in confirmation seeking questions. In such contexts, -nə (the usual subject or agent marker) never marks the subjects.
1. nəŋ-bu ta-ri-brə? you--ERG hear-do Do you hear?
2. nəŋ-bu cət-təu-ri-brə? you-ERG go-will Will you go?

Subjects of indirect questions can also be marked by -bu:
3. əj-bu cəŋgədəuribrə sigədəuribrə khəŋdre təurise I-ERG will live or die don't know I don't know whether I will die or survive.
