You can get notified by email - when someone likes your post/thread,
- when someone replies to the post/thread you participated,
- when someone quotes you,
- when someone sends you a PM (personal message),
- when there are reported posts, etc.
To get email notification, you will need to set up your Notification. The following picture shows how you can do it.
Steps:
- Go to Profile as shown (1) in the above screenshot,
- A click on Profile will open the page as seen in Screenshot 2 in the above picture. Click on Edit Profile (2) there.
- In the Edit Profile page, select Notification (3).
- Notification page has a list of instances of which you can get notified. There are two modes of notifications: (1) Forum, and (2) Email (4). You see Forum notifications only when you long in to your forum account, while email notifications, as the name indicates, are sent to you by email, whether or not you are logged in to the forum.
- From (5), check any instance you want to get notified by email. If you want both Forum and Email notification, you can check both buttons for any incidents.
- After you are done, save your notification settings (6).
If there is any further query about this, you can raise them as replies below. </div>

I think it is important every contributing forum member (at least them) set up their email notification.
