A brief visit to the West Bloomfield Walking Trail (maintained by Parks and Recreation Department), which is about 10 mile long, and good for walking, running, bicycling and bird watching as well. During summer days when the schools are on holiday, we see a lot more people in this trail. This park is in fact within the neighborhood, only 1 mile distance from my home. Most US townships do maintain walking trails in their neighborhood. Manipur could reserve some areas for walking and bicycling trails. As the population increases and land mass shrinks, such recreational parks and trails will be essential.
Kakching needs a Walking and Bicycle Trail for the peopole to keep active as there are no safer places for walking and bicycle anymore. The foothill path from Angan Ching to Uyok Ching could be a favorable route to develop such a walking trail for future generations. There could be resting areas in between.. It does not have to be a paved path, small stone gravels are OK for the path.
