[This blog was initially published on the YouTube blog of The Pukhrambam Family of Michigan on 30 March 2014 by Dr. Lalit Pukhrambam.] As the ethnic violence increases in New Delhi against the NE Indian people in 2014 and increasing tension in ethnic-based politics in Manipur MP election, a brief description of an open and closed society is explored in this video blog by comparing the US and Indian Societies and also looking into the Manipur society itself. Further exploring ways that might lead to an open society and open minded community in the Manipur state. Higher education, building intellectual capacity among the people while enhancing road connectivity in the state will foster people to people contact and understanding. Most importantly the economic integration and transparency in governing the state are encouraged. © The Pukhrambam Family of Michigan (Mar 30, 2014) Acknowledgement: Khongjom Parba video uploaded by uningthou.
