In this present day scenario where internet is available even in one's pockets, it sounds funny to say that one doesn't have the right materials to crack one's desired exam. To choose the right study materials is very hard and getting the same is even harder.Even though internet is available in one form or other in almost every household of the town, the ability to access it as a source for study materials is minimal. The hard copy is still a must and one of the most essential factors in cracking the exams.
Kakching has produced many Artists,Civil Servants,Doctors, Engineers,Managers, Officers in Arm forces, Research scholars, Scientists, etc. Today i can proudly say that in almost every field we have someone from the town. These citizens have gone through those rough paths of hard-works and achieved success. After cracking their exams, where are their materials gone? One who has cleared an exam can say what are the required materials and how to use them for the said exam, far better than those who are yet to pass.Neither these materials are readily available nor are for free in most cases. One has to spend quite a lot of money and time to acquire those materials. And not all aspirants of the town are rich enough to afford the monetary part. The coaching classes play a big part too in providing the right materials. 95% of these people who have cleared CAT,IIT JEE, Medical , UPSC etc have done coaching classes. And the fees for these coaching classes are almost all near 1lakh or more which is quite beyond the reach of a common aspirants and only a few aspirants from rich families can afford. These coaching classes are not a must but still they are one of best sources of study materials. Here comes the part of those successful aspirants and their study materials. Why can't they donate their study materials for the future aspirants to assess . I would like to see LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER, Kakching to take up this responsibility. The successful aspirants donates their study materials which they no longer need to the library and the latter makes it available for the other aspirants. In this way , both the successful aspirants and the library achieve their first goal of serving the society . And their little noble contributions will move the mountain of burdens for the poor aspirants.
